2 Easy Serum 2 Bass Routines
Serum is the synth that defined a generation of bass music, and Serum 2 takes it further. If the interface feels intimidating, this beginner tutorial from Dripment cuts through it with two easy bass routines you can repeat whenever you need a solid low end. Rather than random knob twiddling, you learn a sequence of moves that reliably gets you a usable bass sound, then a second routine for a different character. Why it is a fresh way to get producing: routines beat presets. Once these two are in muscle memory, you can design a fresh bass in minutes for whatever you are making, whether that is trap, dubstep, DnB or dark techno. Follow along in Serum 2 and save both results as your own starting patches. Then change one element at a time, like the wavetable, filter or envelope, and listen to how it transforms the sound. That is how real sound design skills are built.
