4 Simple Techniques for Instant Techno Bass
A weak bassline can sink a good techno groove, and a great one can carry a track on its own. In this video Myshko Music shares four simple techniques for getting a usable techno bass fast, without spending an hour lost in synth menus. You will see different ways to approach the bass, both in the notes you play and in how the sound is shaped, so it sits under the kick and drives the track forward. Why it is a fresh way to get producing: four techniques means four different starting points. Next time a loop feels flat, try each in turn and keep whichever one fires you up. It is a great way to beat writer's block, because you are trying options rather than staring at the piano roll. Combine two of the techniques and you are well on the way to a signature bass sound of your own, from rolling to hypnotic to properly menacing.
